For this week's product review.....

Here are the headphones Damon couldn't remember the name of. The Nuraphone, are headphones that customize themselves (with the help of an app) to your ear canal for optimal sound. Also talked about are the CRS (Cymbal Resonance System) out of Norway. They are like shock absorbers for your cymbal stands. They eliminate ring/hum from a cymbal when you hit it as well as eliminate the "extra jingle" from anything that is mounted to said cymbal stand.

Music News this week......

Aretha Franklin was released from the hospital at the time of the recording of the podcast, but since it was posted, she has passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was at home with family in Detroit. The Queen of Soul was the best. There will never be another like her. Not only was she the G.O.A.T. when it came to singing, she was also a fighter for social justice. John Mayer's Los Angeles mansion was robbed and over $200k worth of musical instruments and valuables were stolen. Here are some tips of things to think about and consider when you are planning the budget for a tour solo or with a band. Lastly, there is a new artist management for songwriters and producers the same way that artists are represented.

Michael Spiro's "The Conga Drummer's Guidebook" is available as well as Ed Uribe's "The Essence of Afro-Cuban Percussion & Drum Set".

You can reach out to Paulo on his Website, Facebook, Twitter and Soundcloud

For Conga Chops, you can sign up on the Website, subscribe on YouTube, and follow on Facebook, and Instagram

These two videos show you how to work with loops in your DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) and then how to create a track. This is how other musicians can use the loops available from the Loop Loft as well as an example of some tracks that drummers and percussionists can use in building songs.

After being acquired by Native Instruments, you can go to Sounds dot Com and sign up for their subscription based program.

The house that Ryan and his family are currently renting used to be the same house that Gary Oldman (the actor) used to live in.

Satnam Ramgotra is one of Hans Zimmer's favorite drummers to call. You can see one of those sessions HERE

You can check out The Loop Loft on their Website, Facebook, TwitterInstagram, Vimeo and YouTube
