This week's guest is the talented Gabo Lugo, who is not only a percussionist, but also a producer and audio engineer.
We start off talking about the iconic recording of this week which is from the two albums put out by the master Israel "Cachao" Lopez called Master Sessions Vol I & Vol II. It was a reissue instigated by the great actor Andy Garcia. The song we chose from these two albums is called "Descarga Cachao".

The program that Gabo teaches (alongside some other great faculty) at Carnegie Hall for High School students is called the "Future Music Project"
The first program Gabo got from his mom to start making beats with was Reason. From There he moved to Fruity Loops. One of the newest programs on the market now is packs from the Loop Loft. You can find out more about those from friend of the show Ryan Gruss. The program Gabo uses now is Abelton.

Without hesitation, Jamey Haddad was one of the more influential teachers Gabo had while he as at Berklee.
